Destination :- SARNATH - VED VYAS - DURGA TEMPLE AREA RAMNAGAR

1. Sarnath is a famous place in Varanasi and it is the destination for cultures like Hindu, Buddha and Jain. Sarnath is the place where Gautama Buddha first taught the Dharma then Buddhist Sangha has originated as well as came into existence because of the enlightenment of Kondanna. It is situated atleast 13 Km to north-east of Varanasi. There is a village 1 km away from the Sarnath known as the Singhpur where Shreyansanath was born. He was known as the eleventh Tirthankara of Jainism. This is why the sarnath is also an important pilgrimage site for Jainism. Farther 1 km Sarangnath temple lord Shiva .Buddha has mentioned the Isipatana as one of the four places of pilgrimage which is most visited by his devout followers.

2. Ved vyas temple It is belived that when Maharishi Ved Vyas it came to present day Chandauli District  across Ganga after getting angry with Kashi and was going to settle anther Kashi . After this ,Lord Shiva sent Ganesh and persuaded him on the condition that without seeing vyas it, he would not get the blessing of Kashi .This place  is to day known as Vyas Nagar ..The ancient  temple of ved Vyas is also located  here . The temple 's priest Swatantra kumar Tiwari said that the great Vibhuti and puranas of the epic era and maharishi ved Vyas .The founder of Advaitaisam,Ved Vyasa was full name sri Krishna dvaipayana Ved Vyasa and was the son of Sage Parasar .Five miles from Kashi ,Vayas nagar in Chandauli Distric has an ancient temple of Ved Vyas ,where a fair is held in the monthof maghalso ,The famous festival of Guru purnima is celebrated to comemorate the birth anniversary of Vyasji .According the stories written in Kashi section of Skandapuran about Vyasji ,Ved Vyas had heard that no one steeps hungry in Kashi .To know this .Vyasji came to Kashi had to stay hungry for two to three days .As soon as the knowledge of this weight was known ,Bholenath changed the Goddess Annapurna to Vyasji ,Vyasji undestood this trick of Bholenath he got angry and cursed Kashi and decidet  to setlle  'Second Kashi ' at distance of five miles from Kashi  when Bholenath come to know of this ,he sent Ganeshji on the pretext of serving Vyasji and pleased  him and asked him to ask for a remrdy for the curse of Kashi .Ganeshji ,served Vyasji a lot .Oneday when Vyasji was pleased and asked Ganesha to ask for a boon,he asked for a boon to free Kashi from curse on which Vyasji free Kashi from curse saying that the devotee will get Kashi only unti Vyas should not visit the temole . Since then,this recognition is going on the proof of this is stillseen in Vyas festival in which the festival from the Vyas temple going on.      

3. The Durga Mandir temple is situated in Ramnagar  of  Varanasi  It is believed thThe at it was built 500 years ago which is under control of royal family of Banaras State currently. This temple is devoted to Hindu deity Durga. The temple has a large stone built pond with it. The Durga Mandir boasts of its fine stone works, which is a fabulous example of north Indian stone work arts and return at Varanasi.
